It was very slow and the faeries aren't like the kind of fey you would see in YA books today. I didn't find it very interesting.

This is a very fast-paced narrative regarding a girl who has magical powers in a town that does not approve of it. The character is an unreliable narrator, so if you like to figure things out with the narrator, this is a good book for you. The book keeps your interest. It does contain themes that are a bit mature for it's intended audience of younger YA. The ending was a bit of a letdown, and the grammar is lacking. However, the book is good enough that I would consider reading its sequel.
