This book is a lot slower and understated than what I normally expect in a Stephen King book but by the end, everything still fits together well and you find yourself feeling fond of the book and the characters. It is something that I would go back to and read again. In some ways, this book feels like the warm-up before King wrote 11/22/63 with elements of a political drama, a school teacher protagonist, and a central ethical/moral dilemma.
Graphic: Animal cruelty
