I tried so hard to get into this book but couldn’t. Idk why, I loved amityville horror. Every time I pushed my self to keep going I kept falling asleep 😭 I’m so upset about that. Made it to page 70 ☹️

Meh. It was honestly just too long and the ending lacked any kind of catharsis.
If you're not misogynistically minded the women's characterisation won't make them unlikeable enough for the way this ends. It's just not well written or conceptually interesting enough for 125 pages.
In my opinion for a and everyone died ending to work in something like this everyone must be about equally detestable and Shonda was at most mildly annoying and I liked Lois. Shonda killing Shooter at the end also didn't bring any catharsis because she 1. Was already dead 2. didn't have her moment of defiant revelation before hand so that whole set up did nothing. Maybe if the Kill had lasted longer and had been more humiliating and gruesome it could have worked but like this it didn't. Also intoducing Biff at the very beginning would have helped also how the fuck is his obsession with suicide supposed to tie into him merging with Ronnie? Joey was kind of wasted as well
