This book was such a good start to the series!

Owen and Lila were great together! The banter, the tension, the chemistry… Seeing their friendship turns into a love relationship was delightful.

Loving my Lumberjack Romance Era. Despite the Heberts being the "enemy" in the previous series. They are all redeeming themselves and being equally as lumber snack worthy as the Gagnons. This series picks up shortly after the events of Wood Riddance (it does not need to be read first, but that series is just as amazing and you will probably want to read it anyways). Owen has come to town to deal with the sale of his family's company after his father is found to be a total jerk. He meets up with the adorable and driven Lila. He is immediately infatuated. Then he learns its his younger brother's ex. Needless to say there is some family drama because the dad left a giant mess to deal with. The Heberts are beginning to put their lives back together.
Lila and Owen steal everyones hearts. Despite some mean gossip around town, and a brand new mystery unfolding. They find love. What I love most about them is that their HEA does not mandate having kids. They decide together to be themselves and have all the adventures together.
