Now entering my lumberjack era...

Both Owen and Lila are back in Lovewell, each with a different agenda. However, their individual agendas lead them to working together to help Owen's family business.

I really appreciated how their chemistry built while they worked together. Owen appreciated Lila's mind while Lila helped Owen to open up a bit, maybe even crack a smile. It took me a little bit to warm up to Owen, but that man loves hard! The things he did for Lila were extremely sweet and had me swooning. And I absolutely loved their banter.

There were parts of the plot that I felt were hurried or unresolved, but that might be addressed in the next books.

Overall, I really enjoyed reading about Owen and Lila. And a special shoutout to Clive who always knows how to make an entrance!

Thanks to the Daphne Elliot and The Author Agency for the ARC!

I enjoyed most of this. I like how the relationship was built slowly. I felt everyone had good character growth that made sense. I can’t wait to read future books in this world

It was unnecessary too long. It could've been 200 pages less and it would've been the same.

I didn't feel like she loved him. I think she wanted to pick a fight with him every time he did or said something nice. I really didn't understand her. "Oh he's such a grown up, he's very mature because he's 38 yo" girl... You're 28 not 18, grow up.

So many over explanations but when they were together it was all reduced to "we had so much fun
