Gilpatric's hero, Colin Glencannon, is a character that deserves to be enshrined in the Humor Hall of Fame! The stories were written for the Saturday Evening Post back in the mid 1930s to early 1940s, so some of the material is a little dated...but the characters are just as funny, cantankerous and witty today as when they first appeared in print over 90 years ago!
