Sunburning catapulted Roberts to one of my favorites. I laughed to tears multiple times, knowing I would have a hard time explaining why. If you get it, you get it.

This is a collection of slice-of-life vignettes. I think I was expecting something a little more linear, which threw me off. I also haven't read any of Roberts' other work, so it was hard to feel like I had a relationship with the characters. I particularly liked the cartoons dealing with the author's bipolar disorder, however.

sweet, melancholic and truthful. i read this again because i needed a reminder that inspiration can still be birthed from a lack thereof
