I’ve never been the biggest fan of this book in the series. One issue is that Aunt Josephine is so fearful and grammar obsessed, that she doesn’t seem to care about the children at all. If you are that afraid of everything, you should not be a caregiver unless you want to overcome those fears (maybe not even then).

My other thing is Mr. Poe is an idiot.

Por ahora cada entrega me está gustando más que a la anterior, aunque me gustaría ver más interconexiones entre una parte y otra, por ahora con tres libros no parece haber un hilo conductor además de la misma problemática en distintas situaciones. A pesar de esto es muy disfrutable y deja con ganas de continuar.

Still fun to reread, but the plot was a little too silly/unrealistic. The explanation of phrases and idioms in the story (for children) was brilliant schm was a particular highlight!

The guardian figure of this book isn't quite as easy to love as the previous two books, and the orphan's run in with Count Olaf isn't as worrisome. But this book has one of my favorite lines of the series, which has stuck with me since I was a kid -- the one that explains what a moral is.

I like that the author defines terms for younger kids, it’s a great way for them to learn vocabulary and this book was particularly good for punctuation rules.
