Sometimes listening to an audiobook can lesson the impact of the narrative. But in this case, the narrator helped dig this narrative deep into my conscious.
The depth of a women’s character, the self talk and the unpredictable paths our brains take when holding so much responsibility on our hearts. We all have wildness in us. We are often unpredictable and can’t explain why we feel the way we feel or act the way we act.
Agnes was an incredible character to follow in all of this because she felt true to who I am. And her relationship with Mary, someone so incredibly unlike her, and yet someone she could connect with on a very deep unexplainable level. And while I can understand why this book is not for everyone, it was definitely for me.
