Holly did it again!!! Her writing is amazing, she’s so captivating and so emotional. I love how fast paced everything is, even when she’s world building. I love dacres devotion to Verena. And seeing Verena finally access and control her magic was amazing!! I’m so sad to say goodbye to the hidden city but I had an incredible time

The first book of the series was so good and the last two just kinda fell flat for me. I enjoyed it but I felt myself rushing to the end just to finish it so I could say I completed the series. I’m not sure what it was about this book that made it fall flat but I just didn’t love it.

Hello Daddy Dacre, I did not have you levelling up by like 5 levels on my bingo card for this read!
If you loved Dacre in book one, you're going to be obsessed with him in The Rivaled Crown. This man's character growth was everything I didn't know I wanted. He took such a hard left turn to becoming the king of all simps in the best way, while also not pulling any punches when it came to the most swoon worthy protective/possessive moments.
Verena's character development took a little while to make its appearance, but once she finds her confidence and back bone, my goodness it's glorious. I was literally cheering for her while reading.
I loved the relationship progression throughout book three. But I also loved getting a glimpse into the budding relationship between their besties too. I really hope we get a fourth book from their pov like Holly did with the stars & shadows series, because I would eat that up!!
This book was longer than I anticipated for a Holly Renee book, but it was so worth it.
