Maybe I'll try again someday but I'm just having too much trouble getting into the characters heads. And I don't understand Amy's need to impress her dad? To have any relationship with him when he clearly does not care? Idk...

It took a bit but I realized that I'm just not a fan of lesbian contemporary fiction and need to look into other genres, the book itself is fine (and if you're reading this don't let this stop you from reading it, purely a me and my cups of tea decision)

Amy and Sophie are both strong characters, yet somehow they learn how to be vulnerable together.

This was such a super cute story and I couldn’t help but cheer for our main characters when they finally realized their feelings for each other. I’m usually not a fan of the miscommunication trope but this one did it well. I think the ending was wrapped up a little too neatly and too quickly, but it was still a lovely read.
