I am bored out of my skull. I DNFed at 30%. They’re already figuring out they aren’t unrequitedly crushing on each other. Theres nothing to be invested for.

There’s more telling than showing with this writing. They’re telling me how attracted they are to each other, so much so that it feels fake and forced.

It also started in a weird spot, with very little explanation as to what’s going on/how long it’s been going on.

Disappointed because I was really excited to read this. It had a cute premise but was executed poorly.

This was a DNF for me. I didn’t like the main characters and I had trouble rooting for them or even caring about the remainder of the story. Not for me.

I did enjoy a majority of this book… but Amy’s whole arc with her dad just was a miss for me.
Sure, the yelling. Sure, the ‘Aha’ moment. But… freakin giving him a hug as you’re pulling out your inner psychiatrist and sobbing?? As someone with an emotionally abusive father, uh- no thanks.

Loved the spice, loved the baby queer learning about herself (which  👀)… didn’t love 90% of the third act.

3.5 stars. I was really enjoying this until the end. Those who have followed me on here and Instagram will know I hate the 3rd act break up, and they broke up like 3 chapters before the end in this. Really lessened my enjoyment of the whole book.

Sophie was great. Definitely my favourite character. Amy was good too (great name ;) ) but Sophie was the stand out for me. I just liked her better, y'know?

This was on track to be a lovely little romance, and the ending was nice, but yeah. The ridiculous fight and break up was too irritating to ignore.
