The Riviera House was my first Natasha Lester book but I’m certain it won’t be my last. France ✔️Art✔️Fashion✔️Love Story✔️ Non-boring history ✔️ Charming heroes and heroines and despicable yet unfortunately perfectly believable villains who the good guys are up against ✔️Plot twists and turns to keep you guessing and reading ✔️

I used to say I wasn’t a fan of historical fiction but when it’s done like this I am a huge fan. Recommended to anyone interested in World War II (specifically German occupation of France) and anyone who just likes a good old fashioned story of love and family and courage and sacrifice. Based partly on a true story this is a great read.

A good book overall, but didn’t find it a successful dual timeline read. Would’ve loved if the book had focused on the WW2 character’s story.

Interesting angle though - showing the loss and crimes towards art and those who owned art during the war.
