many emotions left me wanting more and some pretty confusing parts for me.

I was obsessed with this book when I first read it a few years ago. I have always loved the story of King Arthur and I've always loved the Princess Diaries and Meg Cabot, so I knew I had to read this book.

I was impressed. The story was complex, but it didn't stray from the original story of King Arthur's Court. It was magical without getting too much into the fantasy genre. I watched the movie too and I read the manga versions of Avalon High. Loved them :)

This is my go to 'feel good' read. A favourite since childhood, it is endlessly imaginative and awkward. But it's Meg Cabot, so that is no surprise.

Reread 2022: Still amazing. Really noticed this time though that the climax is weak. All the scenes seem rushed and underdeveloped. Cheesy in a bad way. But the book as a whole is still a favourite.

110 pages in: Can't help but finding Elaine/Elle/Ellie a little bit annoying so far... and a lot of the book has been very predictable. Hoping it will improve.

I honestly loved the disney channel movie version, and was really looking forward to an enjoyable, if a bit silly, read. But if I had to hear Ellie talk about A. William Wagner and how he could not POSSIBLY like her one more time, I thought I was going to scream. Like I get that that's a common YA trope, because the girls of YA so often feel unworthy, and this was written awhile ago, but I just couldn't handle it long enough to finish the book. Which is saying a lot, because the only books I've ever really started and not finished, because the protagonist irritated me so much was this and Geek Charming, both of which have movie counterparts that I seriously enjoyed. Which is also saying a lot, because the movie should NEVER be better than the book. Overall, I preferred the unpredictable nature of the movie, as well as the character changes, more than the book.

Interesting storyline. i love the idea of a real-life Camelot!

As a fan of the Princess Diaries series when I was a teenager I picked up this book for the first time when I was about 16 years old, now I am 20 years old, have read it 3 times and I still love it.

It isn't a very heavy book about a really serious subject, but to me it's incredibly entertaining. I love the mix between the modern world and the King Arthur legend (mind me I am a history geek) and felt I even learned some things about the legend itself.

The book is mostly aimed at teenagers and doesn't discuss any heavy or sensitive subjects, it is just fun book with an entertaining story and a quick and easy read.
