Rebecca Ross does it again. Her writing just really resonates with me. Anything she writes I feel I'll love. GIMME MORE.

This story wasn't what I expected it to be. It actually felt like it had a lot less to do with dreams, and a lot more to do with people being other than who they claim. The suspense was well done, keeping me guessing as to what was ultimately going on, although once you meet all the players, things were a little too clear to keep the surprise alive. I liked Clementine well enough, and I enjoyed her relationship with Phelan. I feel like he as a character could have been fleshed out a little better, and I would have liked to see more interaction between him and his brother.

Overall it was a good book, just ultimately a little underwhelming.

this is the first rebecca ross book i've read but it definitely won't be the last. i love this world and all of the folklore surrounding it. the inclusion of dreams and nightmares is so interesting, it's one of my favorite elements of the story. i'd say it's slow-paced but still captivating and held my attention between the action, romance, and betrayals.

utterly average. so much happened but nothing of any consequence. the main character barely did anything it felt like she was just watching things happen for almost 500 pages
