Damage was an interesting one with an even more interesting start. He’s like a decent mix of Hulk meets King Shark. We’re only given bits and pieces of a formal introduction of the character through inner monologue and exposition sprinkled throughout the mounting action. And OMG, there is s9me action. Damage certainly loves up to its namesake, that’s for damn sure. You don’t learn a ton about the character here, the build is slow where development is concerned, but it’s also smart. Leaves you wanting to know more.

And I have to say, though different, it was nice (not the usual info dump that comics tend to provide in a first issue). I’m not sure if I’m compelled enough to pick up the rest of the series, but that’s based purely on my personal character preferences rather than the nature of the writing itself. It’s a great start to a promising series (LOVING the Suicide Squad appearance at the end), just not necessarily one that I’m super into.
