➽ Volume 22 brings us even closer to uncovering the fate of Alubarna! After winning their respective fights the Strawhats are ready to help Vivi, who is still being threatened by Crocodile. When it seems like he nearly got her, Luffy comes to the rescue!! Of course, he survived his last fight and now he's armed with water for a second round with Crocodile. Meanwhile, everyone else is racing to stop a bomb that's supposed to hit the square and kill both the Rebel and Royal armies who have begun fighting again! Vivi is in despair because a ton of her people will be killed if the cannon goes off and they're running out of time to find its location.
➽ We also find out what Crocodile has truly been after in Alabasta! Robin and the king are visiting the mausoleum that houses a poneglyph, a mysterious stone with inscriptions that only Robin can read. It's supposed to reveal the information on the great weapon Pluton that Crocodile wants to use against the world government.I loved the scenes where it's revealed that Robin betrayed him and lied about the true content of the poneglyph. Crocodile seems a bit disappointed but says that he never trusted her to begin with. Shortly after, Luffy begins his final fight against Crocodile, this time he's figured out his ultimate weakness and the way to beat him. I'm usually not into fight scenes, but this one was good, as it revealed some insights into Crocodile's view on weakness and ideals!

Vivi's helpless to save her people broke my heart😭
Luffy's crew believes in his capabilities so much that they believe that he is the only one who can beat the villain (I always forget the names of the villains, so sorry)
The villain saying that Luffy wasn't on his level because he is one of the seven warlords of the sea and Luffy replying that he was the eighth made me laugh.
Mr. Crocodile getting sick of Luffy not dying is kind of funny. I know, I know, it's serious, but it showed how Luffy only needs a nap to regenerate which is awesome❤️
Zoro going up instead of going north😭😂 though I can see the confusion.
