I watched the movie first a few years ago, and have been in a reading slump so I figured I would pick a lighthearted book that I already knew the plot for.

This book was so much better than the movie!! 💖 (I mean - I do stand by 99% of books being better than the movie, but still.) I love all the extra details we get about Lara Jean's life. The ending was a big surprise considering the movie didn't leave us with a cliffhanger, but I though this was so cute! 🥰

I first started to read the book because my friends loved the movie and the book, but I was purely disappointed. I only finished it because I thought it would be better, and I was right it did get better, but only in the last 7 chapters. I give this 2 stars because as a book it's a great plot but if this happens in real life this is too messy.
Like couldn't Laura Jean say she was over Josh instead of kissing Peter like can't you use your brain? And the fact that she couldn't pick between Josh and Peter is just annoying. I kept saying to choose one or none. Luckily Laura Jean learned how to manage the house which I would not be able to do, so I'll give you that for being mature.
And her sister (Gogo or something) was kinda annoying too. Like if you are not over Josh says you need a break because I'm going to college. No need to break up and make yourself miserable.

So what I want to say is this book isn't for you if you hate the movie, or drama, or if you believe that women need no man.

This gurl writes letters to boys she like and then they got sent to the respective boys without her knowing, and know she is/was screwed

<spoilers> ngl Margorete and Josh were kinda a-holes towards the end, also Kitty, a 10 year old,  has her life together than me, a 16 year old ;-;.

10/10 Dad 💫💫

Also good ending, and probably going good read next book :)
