This is a well researched examination of the prevailing gender data gap and it's harmful effect on women and society as a whole. The book covers a broad area of interest and impact from design, health, policy etc.

I am not a fan of non-fiction because I always find that it labours the point that it aims to make and the books should be shorter. This book is no exception to that view. However it is still an important piece of work.

DID NOT FINISH: 21%

This book is well written even if I wish the author didn’t need to bulletproof her argument so much. I wanted to learn more from this book, but I started spiraling into a bad mental place.

DID NOT FINISH: 47%

May finish it at some point, but it's a bit of a statistics firehose at times, and the audiobook version doesn't help that-- the author narrators and reads very fast (I've never considering slowing down an audiobook playback speed before); I just wasn't being drawn to keep picking it back up enough before it was due back

Invisible Women by Caroline Criado Pérez was an eye-opening and thoroughly engaging read. I found myself completely immersed; the data was presented with clarity, balance, and thoughtful interpretation. Rather than being defensive or prescriptive, Pérez simply laid out the evidence, letting the strength of her research speak for itself. I appreciated the global scope of her work; this wasn’t a narrow view but a wide-ranging examination that highlighted how systemic gaps affect women everywhere.
Her writing style made complex data feel accessible and even page-turning, which is no small feat. Some examples depended on their specific cultural or national context, but collectively they built a carefully rounded, compelling argument. The themes resonated deeply, so much so that I’ve already recommended this book to others. It’s one of those works that lingers, shifting the way you see daily life and society’s structures.
