Ich mag Schnitzler wirklich sehr! Immer wieder. Vor allem in diesem Gewirr und Chaos in der Traumnovelle. Wo nicht immer zwischen Traum und Wirklichkeit unterschieden werden kann und auch nicht muss. Ein wunderbares Porträt einer manchmal unglücklichen aber oft doch auch glücklichen Ehe, das nicht forciert, nicht aus den Fingern gezogen scheint. Die Fantasien beider Parteien fühlen sich echt und realistisch an. Ausserdem gibt es sehr viele schöne Sätze, die Opfer meines Leuchtstifts wurden :)
Nur zu empfehlen!!!

I started watching Stanley Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut last Sunday but only made it about halfway through before I got tired and went to bed. Before I finished the movie, I decided to read the book. I have no idea who thought this book was a good candidate for a screenplay. It's incredibly short, introspective, and without any concrete conclusion. The inverse of those factors are what made the movie fall flat for me. It was way too long (two and a half hours) and has an awkward exposition dump at the end to explain everything. If you're thinking about watching Eyes Wide Shut just read this instead.
