This collection features a short collection of essays on intersectional feminism which can also be found in her novel, Sister Outsider.

Audre Lorde discusses the complex relationship dynamics between black women, black men and women, and the limits within white feminism. Her depiction of the fear, self-hatred and the competitive nature between black women was so profound and gave voice to something so inherent in the black community.

Her writing style is immaculate; I felt both engaged and inspired as I read and I will definitely be reading all of her other novels.
I would highly recommend reading this or sister outsider as I find it essential to understanding feminism from a black, lesbian perspective.
