A great prequel to Pretty Girls, but not a great stand alone.

This is a short-story and prequel to Karin Slaughters book Pretty Girls. I read this after I read Pretty Girls, it was interesting to see Julie Carrol’s life before the events in Pretty Girls took place.

Wow. Quick little gut punch. I checked other reviews before I writing my review and it appears this is a prequel to the author’s Pretty Girls. I’m adding that to my list now.
This is my first Karin Slaughter title. I liked the pace and mystery that we were given. Aside from Pretty Girls, I’ll check my library for more of Karin Slaughter in the future.
