Although this book was fiction, it changed me for the better.
Poppy might be my favourite protagonist, ever. and I loved, loved Rune. their love almost made my heart burst. The side characters were done extremely well too.
I knew what was going to happen, yet I still bawled my eyes out. this book showed me, "zindagi lambi
nahi, badi hani chahiye." (a quote from Bollywood incase you aren't desi)
It taught me how to always have faith, and how no one is ever in your life my a coincidence. How to love someone so much that it's a soul connection and how to live when that person is not there with you anymore. It also depicted the 'the one' trope amazingly. I have always believed that we live once, we die once and we only love once. when Rune tells Poppy, in heaven, that he doesn't regret "falling in love" again after her, because he did LOVE, he loved his family, his work, the people he met - my heart almost burst.
Even years from now, whenever I feel like I don't believe in love anymore or I would wish to see the world in a better sense, when I would want to love, cry, smile, laugh & find happiness again, I know I would pick up this pure love story.

AMAZING! this book is so so sad it had me crying from quite early on in the book and as soon as I started I couldn’t stop. It’s a great book and the characters have a lot of depth and development throughout the book.

This book is absolutely amazing. It's so emotional. It's definitely not for everyone because it's kinda 'cheesy' but I loved that about it. So wholesome. It's so great and heart-warming/melting.
