I really struggled with this book and only got to the end due to the fact it was audible. Didn't find the characters likeable and it just became a frustrating read. The end wasn't what you expected but I was so bored by the end of it that It didn't really change anything.

Great thriller, full of mystery, intrigue, and twists.

This was unnecessarily, painfully long. 20% in I was over the miscommunication and wanted to know what happened. Nothing more happens until the "big reveal", just the main characters messing up and the author dragging it. I'm not sure the ending was worth all those pages.

Poorly written and the plot twist at the end was just there for the sake of it.

Another read that grips me with shifting perspectives. Although the plot was semi-predictable, it was fun to read a cross-couple discourse.

There's a lot to say about this book.
Was it amazing? No.
Did I enjoy it? Yes.

There were certainly elements of this story that could've been better but overall it was entertaining enough to read.

I liked the realness of our two main characters and how unhinged they both became throughout the story. While I didn't love them as characters specifically I could understand Abby's and Sienna's motivations and the story has underlying tones of mental health with their depictions even if not intended. Their depictions can be an actual testament to what depression and Anxiety can do to people and it was executed well in my opinion.

The story has plenty of twists and turns that had me trying to figure out what exactly the truth was and I have to admit that while trying to guess the plot twist extensively, that is in fact what actually threw me off when the plot twist eventually came and thus I was genuinely shocked. I tip my hat off to you Katheryn.

The story itself is easy to read and quick to get through. The storyline and many of the characters actions definitely earned some loud and involuntary reactions from me.

My reasons for not putting this as a four of five star read are for the simply because of the ending.

Not the Epilogue but in reference to Sienna and Abby. While I've stated that I understand their motivations I was simply dissatisfied that the ending for them is slightly more hopeful compared to that of Rob who was arguably the only character who deserved a good ending here. I know he was a bit harsh in those last few chapters, but who could blame him? Abby especially gets the best ending when she was the one gaslighting Sienna, Rob and the readers the most.

I don't think Sienna, Rob, Lillian and Mark giving her the cold shoulder or harsh comments was enough consequences. She also led Rob on for years and years that he won't get back.

Sienna in particular has a lot of fault for everything that happens. Her problem is she pushes too much and only Rob calls her out on it but instead of her facing up to that realisation she focuses on his words during that scene and immediately believes that Rob has committed the crime, the same way she thought Abby had done so and Mark. She jumped to so many conclusions and did some questionable things to try and get answers and while the ending for her isn't happy as per se it's still a lot happier's than Rob's.

Finally there's the fact that Sienna has gone through everything she's gone through and in the end, she doesn't even know the full truth anyway. While we learn the truth, it still feels like a slap in the face that she doesn't.

I think a lot character development on her half is stunted because of these factors. There was self reflection on her part but not the right type and the ending means she'll still have a good image of Greg and Holly as well as excuse her actions because she's found a part of the truth.

There was no proper self reflection in Sienna's mind about what she did which makes the last meeting between her and Abby even more stressful to read. The same applies to Abby although she has more character development than Sienna but Rob once again is the one to call her out. Abby felt guilty for her actions because she wanted to be forgiven not cause she truly was sorry. If she was, she would've told Sienna and Rob the truth from the get go.

All of this could've been avoided too if Abby and Sienna could learn to communicate their feelings properly.

Still I enjoyed the story regardless and was intrigued to follow along the mystery and would recommend. I think my actual rating would be a 3.5 Stars.
