An enjoyable thriller, that despite being predictable, remained an engaging read.

Whilst none of the characters are lovable in the traditional sense they are well explored which adds depth to the story.

The ending is what both Laurel and Poppy deserved but I couldn't help feeling some sympathy for Floyd. A good entry thriller, but if you enjoy shocking twists and turns maybe give this one a miss.

I've tried twice to read this book but I didnt feel invested in the story and kept putting it down, almost got into a reading slump. Got 20% into the story.

I enjoyed the front and middle part of the plot but it feels a bit too inconclusive towards the end. Floyd unaliving Noelle and then unaliving himself afterwards is just so abrupt like HUH. He just randomly up and leaves Laurel to watch the video of his confession and that's the end of the story.
I have a high expectation when it comes to the thriller/mystery genre and the ending was NOT IT. I liked everything else except the last part so i gave it a 3

Even though I guessed the plot, it was so impeccably written that I just could not put it down.

I didn’t read the back when I started this and I should have because boy was that a heavy novel, definitely should not have been reading it at 14 but whatever. Very heavy, very true crime, honestly felt like a real case.
