Hat mir nicht ganz so gut gefallen, wie der Vorgänger. Die Protagonistin sieht sich in diesem Band als Patin ihrer Mütter-Mafia und manövriert sich dadurch auch in kriminelle Aktivitäten anderer Menschen, die die Geschichte auf mich aber unglaubhaft haben wirken lassen. Statt satirische Beiträge im Online-Forum der Mütter Society, kriegt man dieses Mal nur eher banale Einträge der Teenager-Tochter zu lesen. Mir hat generell ein bisschen der Aspekt gefehlt, die Erziehungsratschläge einiger Mütter auf die Schippe zu nehmen. Und die neue Beziehung der Protagonistin hat mich auch nicht sonderlich überzeugt, weil ich ihr Love Interest sehr unsympathisch fand. (Und ich hatte die ganze Zeit damit gerechnet, dass die Beziehung in die Brüche gehen wird.)

Great fun to listen to with my husband. Everything is over the top, the family, the friends, the dinner with her boyfriend’s parents, the bad guys, the nicer bad guys... And it always ends well, in the most unlikely way.
And the animals all have great names: the dogs are called Hannibal and Lecter, the cats Senta and Berger...
