i really really like this! i’ve been meaning to read it for a long time because of the sapphic aspect mainly but the story completely captivated me and i was hooked from the beginning.

i will say though that the characters of kinok and benjy fall under quite stereotypical archetypes
(the “bad guy” & the “best friend”)
and it didn’t make me hate the book or anything but it was just a bit predictable….nonetheless, i’m curious as to what will happen with them in book 2.

other than that, i adored learning about this whole world, the dynamic between crier and ayla and i’m super excited to see how everything will wrap up 🤍

cant wait to read the second book
