This book made absolutely no sense at all. I got to about 200 pages and I had to call it quits.

3.5* This book did not live up to the wonder and enchantment of the first book. The first third was mostly a story centred on two new characters that honestly, could habe been sumarized in 4 chapters and who were hardly relevant by the end of the book once they'd played their small roll in the plot. The book itself served to fill in questions from the first one, and lay ground for the second. Most of the rest was some random hopping around in parties of serveral dozen here and there were it's newer imposible to keep track of who is with whom, or still alive for that matter. Though M.L. cleary is s great writer with a fab imagination (I will be reading more of his works) this book fell short of what it could have been. Dissappointed.

Are we being for real?? What the fuck was that ending?? Can they not get even a second to breathe and appreciate each others company?? Must their suffering continue through every single chapter??? My God.

A good sequel that is probably better when reading the series back to back. Gets a bit too twisty near the end, but overall, I enjoyed it very much.
