The sirens have legs?? No tails?

Overal this book was way better than the first one. Really liked it.

I enjoyed this duology, but it was by no means perfect (the endings in particular left me feeling a little unsatisfied). I enjoyed the characters, the storyline and the swashbuckling adventure - and also the fact I just got to write "swashbuckling adventure" in a book review! The development of Riden and Alosa's relationship was super swoon-worthy, but I never felt like it properly got off the ground. I wanted more romance! Still, an enjoyable older-YA read, with plenty of everything we like reading - just not a new favourite.

I’ve finished this and now I want to rewatch all the pirates of the Caribbean movies for the millionth time. So good.
