Not a long time, but a fun time. Dementsprechend nicht zu tiefgreifend, aber sehr unterhaltsam.

This sequel details Alosa's comeback after finding the final piece of the map to the Isla de Canta. The plot is fast paced and the characters are truly dynamic. This story is humour-filled and features themes of unity, love, family, women's strengths, and what it means to be human. I recommend this, especially to readers wanting to get out of a reading slump (such as myself at the moment).
(Given the fact that there is currently much debate surrounding what ages should be reading "Young Adult" literature, I would like to recommend this duology to readers aged 15 and over).

[b:Daughter of the Pirate King|33643994|Daughter of the Pirate King (Daughter of the Pirate King, #1)|Tricia Levenseller|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1483132546l/33643994._SY75_.jpg|46636002] is an addictive, fast-paced and super fun read that I've devoured twice now. And it's a hard book to follow up. I'm happy to say that this sequel was just as addictive and just as fun.
I thoroughly enjoyed this pirate adventure filled with sirens, mini heists, and amazing characters bound together in a found family (one of my favourite tropes).
The crew of Ava-lee were so much fun to read about. Their friendship and loyalty was so heartwarming. I loved all the dynamics of their relationships. It set the best atmosphere for Riden and Alosa to untangle the mess that is their relationship.
The tension between Alosa and Riden was palpable. I loved reading about their growth individually and together. Such cuties.
I'm so glad we got to learn more about Alosa's siren side and just siren's in general.
This was a super fun read that I flew through and adored the adventure that it took me on . If there's anything [a:Tricia Levenseller|14358948|Tricia Levenseller|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1637732489p2/14358948.jpg] knows how to do, is write an addictive story.

Better than Book 1 - this was a goody! Again, a really good YA Pirate tale.
