A sad showing. The writing is both to fast to appreciate any event that happens. While also being so slow as to make me wonder why nothing has happened in 50 pages.
The author being a middle aged man whose characters talk about the liberating experience of dancing for "leering noblemen" feels not great.
I wanted to like this book but it truly felt like it was engaging in some uncomfortable fantasies of the author.
