VERY good book; I would definitely recommend going in blind for this one.

I wish I liked this more but I just didn't connect. The premise is interesting and the cultural integration and social commentary was really good, but the story never took off for me. I feel like it would have been better as a full novel rather than a novella, personally. I needed more time for this story to bloom.

Releerlo en otro idioma es casi como volver a leerlo por primera vez. Y se disfruta igual o más que la primera. Además la edición catalana lleva incluido el relato corto.

A fast fun short sci fi novella- I thought it had a balanced mix of familiar tropes/themes and interesting twists. Would read another installment.

I'm not the biggest fan of medusas or these type of animals but it was interesting nonetheless. Sometimes it was a bit repetitive.

I liked the theme and character and concepts introduced, but I would have liked it if the story had more space to develop and explore major events and what they meant to Binti. The ending where
Binti becomes fast friends with the jellyfish dude despite the very very recent mass murder
felt abrupt and underexplained, and really took away from this for me.

I'm definitely going to read the other installments in the series, though, and check out the author's other work too.
