A quick sci-fi read with some fantasy notes. I really enjoyed this and am excited to read the others in the series. Interesting characters and plot. Mix of quick plot progression and introspection about identity and home.

Less than 100 pages but it drew me in so deeply. I was not expecting to love this book as much as I did. Bravo.

A really fun and cool take on identity, culture, colonialism, and knowledge!  I really do wish that it was a bit longer because the ending felt a bit rushed and wasn’t as satisfying as I hoped it would be, but I still enjoyed it a lot!

Not really what I expected, with more violence and less world building than I had hoped for. Still curious about the other parts in the series though.

It's a solid read. Its very creative, intresting concepts. Binti is a very good main character and her struggle with tradition and her own desires for science is both compelling and just deeply relatable. Her desire to honour both parts of herself without losing who she is is a powerful journey. The book is too short honestly, and would have benefited from being longer. The Meduse are so close to being well handled
I wish they had just held the ship hostage rather than killing everyone. It feels like they got off to easily
and with more page time it could explored Binti relationship with her classmates and family in greater depth. I'm interested in seeing how the other books are.
