Really enjoyed this book, it was a slow burner though but once it got going it kept me gripped and the characters I really liked and enjoyed there stories.

This book was okay. Both the writing and the paced of plot was fine also I do think the book was bit predictable. the cover of book was okay and I think the characters well fleshed out.

The book was more of a Catherine Cookson type story. The characters were engaging but over all it didn’t have the historical detail I expected.

After reading another book about the lives of the children sent you Canada with the horrific history that’s also been spoken about today this was very light reading. The author’s style of writing appealed to me but the timeline of events were obviously made up. I would have read this type of story when I started to read books as a young adult.

I kept reading and there were some awful events but the story galloped to a
happy ending</spoiler > I prefer fiction based on the reality even if it is incredibly devastating to read
