10/19/09: This book has two stories in it. I read the first one and liked it. I wanted to read something else before reading the second story.

I only read the first book. It's an interesting take on the politics of an urban fantasy setting. The mystery part seemed pretty honest (though I'm not the most clueful so it may be blatantly obvious to others).

It's okay. Not really my taste. No romance and almost no female characters. Very dry. The style is very journalistic (fact finding after fact finding) which makes sense since the main character is a journalist.
