I loved this!! I have been craving some good pirate adventure lately, and this was finally the ticket. Vice and Knigh are compelling characters, and their relationship/chemistry is good. The story was really engaging, and surprised my consistently. I really enjoyed this overall and love the hook into the rest of the series. I will definitely continue the series.

the plot is good, but the writing is pretty weak. the amount of “wild hunt take me” and “lords and ladies” expletives became so repetitive it felt like a bad drinking game. i’m hoping it gets better throughout the series.
Powered through the first book of the series. Fun pirate romance with a bit of myth and fae with a mix the real and the fictional when it came to the piracy elements. Very sweet, about 2.5 on the steamy scale and very trope heavy but fun

I don’t understand why this was rated as one of the most spicy romance books since it was pretty tame.
Liked the pirate aspect. Loved Barnacle. Was more interested in the secondary characters than the main characters. Found the insta love to be kind of annoying considering there’s so many books in this series. Could have used build up for more of a punch
