Wow. Where do I even start. This book was amazing. The girls' stories were all so relatable,in their own different ways, and they were so amazing. So well written and thought provoking about they way that people should be treated and the way that Girls need to stick up for each other when being bullied, being taken advantage of, or suffering from a severed friendship.
First off, I LOVE LINDY AND LILLIA AT THE BEGINNING OF THE BOOK. They were absolutely incredibly adorable. I hope that they get together even though all of the things that she and Kat and Mary did. They are still adorable and it's not even like Alex was with Nadia so it doesn't even matter. JUST BE IN LOVE
Now I want to say how much I loved the revenges. Even though they might have gotten a little carried away with Reeve's and Rennie's execution, I absolutely loved the planning of all of the revenges and the execution of Alex's. My favorite ever was when Kat,Mary, and Lillia were at Alex's house and then they were like breaking into his car and then they were like oh crap the notebook is not here and then Kat was like you guys are such children and then like finds it under the seat *insert laughing emoji here* I know that like yeah you aren't supposed to be vengeful on people that have wronged you and two wrongs don't make a right but I REALLY LOVED THIS. It showed that friends, no matter how much the three girls denied being friends, stick up for each other and that made me really happy.
I loved this book so much because I had experienced some of the same things that the girls did. The bully and the girl that has a crush that didn't do anything and the girl that was cut out of a best friends life. That really makes sense to me.
The writing was so good and raw like that I felt like I was living the girls' lives. I loved this book so much.

Don’t like the theme of revenge, wanted a romance, pretty much everyone was unlikeable, weird magic element with the gust of wind??

A fun beach read filled with characters that are easy to underestimate. I read this in under a day as the writing is easy and fairly simple.
The meat of this book lies in the unraveling of the plot and the many layers of each character. I hope that the next two books have substantially more on Reeve, as he sparked my interest and curiosity the most. What I also appreciated is that the reader can't immediately tell who's supposed to be whose love interest--they all seem mixed up in one another.
The draw back is that (as I've read novels individually from both authors) you can tell Han's writing apart from Vivian's. I can't be 100% sure, of course, but as I just finished another of Han's books before starting this one, her lyrical and contemporary voice is much more identifiable than Vivian's somewhat simpler one in comparison. As I've noticed in the past, Han has an easier way of structuring complex characters than Vivian does. I found Mary to be extremely stunted while Lillia and Kat were interesting and complex.
Nevertheless, I will continue to read this series!

I think I've finally calmed down enough to explain why I didn't like this book.
Don't get me wrong, it's highly readable. From reading [b:The List|10866233|The List|Siobhan Vivian|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1310098306s/10866233.jpg|15781430] I already knew that Sibohan Vivian could plot a mystery and handle multiple perspectives. I didn't love that book, but I didn't hate it the way I hated this one.
I thought a story of girls out for revenge had potential. But the reason that one of the girls sets out to get revenge—she is raped, then finds her younger sister in bed with her friend and assumes he also took advantage of her—really upset me. Especially when it seems even as she is plotting and scheming against him that she has feelings for him, as well.
I don't think that authors are obligated to depict the reactions characters have to being raped in any particular way. People deal with it in their own way. But the way the incident is completely glossed over seems wrong.
There's also a lot of slut shaming going on in this book, and it's always something I hate to see in fiction.
The supernatural twist at the end ruined what I thought could have been a good contemporary story. I thought it rushed and unnecessary. I didn't like this book. At all.

What it's about: Three girls create an unlikely alliance when each of them decide they want revenge. Together they make a pact, and start to take down each person, but at the end of it all, will it really be what they want?
What I thought: Burn for Burn was a fantastic contemporary novel about three teenage girls getting revenge on the people that wronged them. It's witty and fun, and you can't help but get yourself involved in their little schemes. Lilliana is trying to get back at her friend Alex for messing with her sister, Kat is trying to get back at her ex-best friend Rennie for being herself (a bitch), and Mary is trying to get back at Reeve for humiliating her all those years ago. They have the plan, they have their pact, but it doesn't quite go according to plan...
Burn for Burn is a fantastic contemporary novel if you want a fun read. The characters are well written and the plot evolves along with them, immersing you in what's going on. It left with a cliff-hanger, and now I desperately want more!
The Good: I love how each bit is planned out, and that the girls form an unlikely friendship. Plus the serious love triangles that obviously go on! Too much fun :)
The Bad: *Spoiler alert* So is Mary supposed to be some kind of Supernatural being? A witch or something? I believe this wasn't necessary and really dragged the book down unfortunately.

What a cliffhanger! While reading this, it reminded me of "Revenge" mixed with the movie Heathers. This one did not disappoint (although I am kind of mad how abruptly this ends. It almost doesn't stand alone for me).

This book was an easy read and better than I expected. It was very easy to get into and the ending definitely left me guessing what was to come in the next book.
