A beautiful and riveting story that is both sad and awkward. Though I find how a small misunderstanding can snowball into a huge lie. It got more cringy and painful the larger the lie got.

No me imagino un musical, pero el tema que se toca es bastante importante.
La vida de Evan no es lo que se espera de un adolescente normal, le gusta quedarse en casa y pasar desapercibido, prefiere quedarse en casa que interactuar con las personas y está tratándose pero sus compañeros no tienen ni idea y en ocasiones hacen de su día algo demasiado abrumador.
Y Connor, que es en quién se basa todo el asunto, también tenia su propia lucha, pues incluso se sentía mal con su familia.
Los adultos tienen sus problemas y a veces tratan de ayudar a sus hijos de formas que para ellos son más fáciles aunque tal vez no sean las correctas.
El final me decepcionó un poquito, aunque el cambio realizado en Evan es notorio y agradable, me da tristeza que no se realice un nuevo encuentro con Larry y Cynthia.

Will probably never get to see the musical so this is as close as I can get to understanding what all the hype is about. Interesting story, filled with teenage angst, anxiety and isolation. Will have to listen to the musical soundtrack next

Amazeballs! I wish all Broadway musicals could have a novelization. 🎶 It was so wonderful to actually get to know how the story goes (when all I’ve had to go by is the original Broadway cast recording & research).
Also, I listened to the Audible version - and the audio performances increased my love of this book x1000!!
I appreciate a flawed character who isn’t perfect. I appreciate realistic endings. I appreciate an increasing awareness of mental health. I appreciate the multi-layered perspectives presented.
One day I will get to see this show live. But, in the meantime, I’m absolutely overjoyed knowing I have this novel to re-read “For Forever”. 💙

I really loved this book - I couldn’t put it down! After hearing amazing things about the musical, I really wanted to read it and tbh, it was 99p on Kindle Store so an offer I couldn’t refuse! Loved the story line.
