I would have finished this book sooner but so much has been going on in my life that I haven't had much energy to read.

Identity is the second book in the Miss Taken series and I have to say I liked this book much better than the first one.

The main characters still frustrated me . Loved the drama and that this book got me emotional .

I recommend this.

Rain is back and still having issues. She can't decide if she should stay with Dominick or leave for good?

Dominick is controlling as ever. But has he finally become to controlling and made Rain leave for good this time?

Book two picks up where one left off. It was a good book but with a lot of mistakes, not just with grammar and spelling but with the story line itself. Secrets were revealed earlier in the book and then again at the end like it wasn't done earlier. Also some of to the plot points were very predictable and I saw them coming a mile away. But who is after rain and her family? Who is the red head? 3.5 stars

I wish I had not wasted my time and money on this book. From the glaringly oblivious mistakes, an insane amount of needless sex scenes, to the use of pretty much every cliche I know of. This book is not worth it. I bought it because the first book had an intriguing story and I wanted to know what happened next. What I got was a disjointed story because of an overabundance of sex scenes, and a man who has an extremely poor vocabulary for a lawyer.

This story was so unbelievable that I regret reading it. I hope this author gets better, but I will not be reading the next book in this series, I just won't be able to force myself through it.

*Update* After exchanging a few messages with the author I'm upping my review by a couple of stars. She's willing to listen to constructive criticism and work to improve her writing. Cleo Scornavacca is going to be an author to watch out for.

Miss Taken is the second book in the Miss Taken Identity Series.

I loved Dominick and Rain from the beginning. You immediately see Dominick’s reaction to Rain leaving him and there is no lapse in time from the end of Miss Taken to the beginning of Identity.

Rain is so strong and she finally learns to stand on her own two feet and stand up for herself without anyone’s help. Several secrets were revealed in the first book but that only gave way to new ones. Rain is now unsure how Dominick will react but she knows she has to be honest with him. Dominick continues with his possessive and irrational nature but that is the only way he knows how to show love. The love between Dominick and Rain is strong and all consuming but at times it also seems destructive. He loves hard and doesn’t always think before acting. This definitely causes issues between them.

Can Dominick and Rain finally heal what’s broken? Or will new discoveries push them even further apart?

I enjoyed reading both books and I look forward to the third book.

So, book 1 in the series, Miss Taken, I couldn't say I was particularly thrilled with it but it was good enough to warrant a glance at book 2, Identity.
As soon as I began this one I was pleased I did. Dominick’s Point of view was a breath of fresh air. After the way he was portrayed in Miss Taken it was nice to see him for him. Reading on I found this one much faster paced and a more enjoyable read. The characters come to life a lot more, particularly Rain towards the end of this book, and play more of a role through conversation, there’s more action from them too, as well as in the storyline itself. A lot of the questions from book 1 have been answered but then a lot more have been asked and left unanswered ready for number 3
However once I got going I realised that the editing is bad. There is a lot of repetition about feelings and characterisation which, by the time I was half way through the book had me eye rolling. Also a major overuse of the same phrases, within sentences of each other. I found much of the speaking is very wooden, not particularly conversational. There is also quite a massive error in the section where Rain’s dad is hospitalised and even though I’m British and not 100% with American terms, I’m pretty sure there are quite a few wrong words (for example, at her art show she has a chocolate foundation for the fruit!)
While I enjoy reading about a healthy sexual relationship in books of this genre, I think the author has gone over the top just a fraction here. Some of the scenes feel like wasted words, or actually words that didn’t need using at all! I admit to skipping some of them!
It is such a shame that these editing issues are so glaringly obvious because otherwise this would have been a definite 4 star review from me.
