This book had me hooked from beginning to end - I cannot believe I did not read this sooner!

What an interesting book! I really liked how Kemi, Brittany-Rae, and Muna's stories were divergent yet connected due to one company/man. This was a incredible story of three black women's experiences and the nuances and complexities they experience each day during their lives in Sweden. It was a bit of a heartbreaking ending, it still felt honest and real.
I enjoyed reading about the three different characters. I had a little difficulty understanding what was happening with one of the characters.

Kind of lost interest about halfway through but it eventually made a comeback. I wasn't a big fan of Kemi for the majority of the novel but that's fine. Felt pity towards Brittany. Muna I would do anything for you.

This book offered an engaging story, actually 3 stories which only slightly overlapped.. I couldn’t give more than 2 stars because I was so disappointed with the narrative that black women are helpless to succumb to the irresistible pull of white men.
