I’m so glad the love triangle didn’t last long and I LOVE the dragons. I can’t wait to learn more about them and the world in the next book.

Addictive read. Loved the magic system and characterizations. The high stakes nature of the war college (and the EXTREME sexual tension) kept me on edge the entire time. Audibly gasped and squealed several times!

Anytime a book (or movie) has dragons as main characters there's a chance that things will get VERY cheesy. That was NOT the case with Fourth Wing!

This book was a little dark - introducing characters who seem like they're going to be important secondary characters, only to kill them off pages later! (I'm still reeling from that!) Not to mention, it's a school where the students are allowed to murder each other! 

This book was also unexpected. What I THOUGHT was going to be the huge plot point with Violet and the dragons was so off base! And the ending - ahhh! I kinda had an inkling of part of the ending, but absolutely not the whole thing. It was unexpected in the best way. 

This is definitely not a PG-rated book, a hard R at a minimum between the murder, sex, and crude language. I typically veer toward "cleaner" fiction, but this book was awesome. Just be aware!

It’s a pacy, romance-inspired rip-off of a lot of better fantasy books. I really disliked the writing style. Also, deep themes of sexism and misogyny that aren’t addressed critically in the writing.
