The ending was absolutely fantastic, but the pacing in the middle left much to be desired - I just want to love this series as much as everyone else but I am not quite there yet
THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS SERIES CLEARLY RUIN MY LIFE (in a good way, by the way)
I don't how to write a review for this kind 'confusing...depressing...tempting...and amusing at the same time' book. I'd like to give but instead I give it 4 stars because its worth it.
I got confused and trapped between Jace, Clary, and Simon love stories. Sometimes, Clary makes me wanna bite a pillow or something. And sometimes, the way Clary hurts Simon is making me sick. But, I know how special Clare is because love triangle story isn't Clare's type. The action part of this book when the Shadowhunters fight the Demons on Valentine's boat deserves some compliment. The love bond between Lightwood family and Jace is the part that you couldn't miss it. I looooooovvveee Lightwood family, and I love Alec Lightwood more than before (he did a very good job as Jace's parabatai .
And then Clary Fray is trying to find something important and something big in herself. She's gonna be a bad-ass Shadowhunter. Can't wait to read City of Glass

This series is very mediocre for me. I’m determined to finish it for some reason. They say they get better and they’re “fine” but they’re not AMAZING.

Read this one a lot faster than the first book. I love how the world is expanding and we're being introduced to more characters as the series goes on.
The forbidden love between Clary and Jace made me uncomfortable. The scene in the Seelie Court?? It could've been anything else! They know each other as siblings so it was just weird (even though I know they're really not siblings)
