I love T&K and am a HUGE fan of Unnhhhhhhh.
This book was not the business. I'll stick the web series.

funny
lighthearted
fast-paced
Meh, this was enjoyable as a free library listen. Maybe getting the physical copy with the pictures would have added to it. Idk. I love Trixie and Katya, and the concept for this book is really funny. The execution was a little lack luster though. Writing is a hard medium and I think these queens shine in improvisation and off the cuff humor. Still there were some funny bits and it was nice to hear some parts of their lives and backstory that I haven’t heard before.
I will give this a go, but boil it down, it's two men telling you how to be a woman. Like we've had a thousand years of men doing that. Infact, it's still happens now. I know there are nuances there but I'm talking at a basic level. That slightly makes me uncomfortable.
I'll see if this funny feeling changes after reading it. I just wish they chose something else.
edit:
I read this. It's okay. You won't learn anything real, but I'm not sure you're supposed to learn anything so that's alright. But it makes the whole book a bit pointless as a "proper guide". Like Willam's book was actually helpful. My favourite parts was Trixie and Katya having conversations between themselves, I wish that was the whole book. I think that's where they are at their strongest when they are acting as a duo, just talking about certain topics and not censoring themselves. Allowing themselves to wonder and you're always surprised on where things go in the end. It's what their show is all about after all, so I didn't know why they just didn't continue with an obviously winning and popular formula rather than another boring "guide for life". Most episodes of their show is them at their best, talking about random subjects and having a good chin wag. The other stuff was a bit eh and sometimes, the voices seemed very samey despite them both having quite different voices/different styles of drag in real life. You can tell when some chapters drag on to reach the word count, where as it could've been summed into a paragraph instead of 3 pages. So yeah, I just wish it was a book of them having conversations because those felt more real to me, rather than the advice that you need to buy two shoes, not one. Which is silly, because I have got plenty of shoes where I only was able to wear one shoe, so I have one used shoe and one shoe that looks brand new so buying a single shoe would've been helpful. I get it's a joke of course, that assumes everyone needs two shoes and thus like lol: isn't that so obvious!!!!

Quick read, insanely witty, and was definitely like watching a longer episode of
Some of this didn’t feel like it hit for me (it’s okay!) but the humor was excellent
