This was the fifth book I’ve read by Brandon Sanderson, and, in my opinion, the best. The world building was absolutely amazing. I am a bit at loss for words to say how much I loved this book. Definitely the best book I’ve read in a while.

A great read! A bit slow plot-wise in the early chapters. Though, that is to be expected for the first book in a series.

The hard magic system really hooked me in the beginning and reminded me a lot of the way powers and magic are explained/used in many anime. It really stole the show in a lot of ways.

Character work was also a slow burn, but I found myself very invested in Vin and the others by the end.

Overall, great book. Definitely going to continue the series!
