Honestly I didn’t expect to love this so much. The writing style, the character development, and the pace were absolutely perfect. The depiction of OCD was so real and refreshing.

probably my favorite of the three books in the montague siblings series.
adrian has a strong voice colored deeply but not solely defined by his anxiety disorder. he’s interesting from the start: someone who’s politically active - and opposes his father’s policies - but whose mental illness and his emotional pain from living with it stops him from standing up for himself, his loved ones and his beliefs. he has ridiculously hilarious internal dialogue. so much sass bottled up in that head of his. it felt rewarding to follow him on his journey to self-acceptance.
the other part i enjoyed was his relationship with his siblings. not to spoil too much but their banter was fun to follow, their interpersonal issues were engaging enough for me to gasp dramatically to myself when these issues come to a head, and their heart-to-heart conversations were really heartwarming.
the only bits i wish the author spent more time on was adrian’s relationship with saad. it needed more closure, i think.

loved the other two books and the novella, but adrian grated on me and I hated his internal monologue. the other siblings were not enough for me to get over it

A very good conclusion to this trilogy. Intense depictions of anxiety and OCD and a scene with leeches
