I’ve really enjoyed this series. I read the first two as they came out and it took me a long time to finally read this one but I’m glad I did. This one was not my favorite of the three, but I still found the adventure fun and Adrian an interesting character. One of my favorite parts of this series has been the refusal to shy away from difficult topics even while undergoing an almost absurd, jaunty adventure. Adrian’s does not have as much humor as the previous two, but the depiction of mental illness was tackled in a thoughtful, meaningful way. Adrian’s anxiety rings true, even as it pushes him to do what could otherwise be considered illogical actions. Asides from that, the adventure plot was fun and it was great to see the inclusion of Monty and Felicity, as well as other characters from the past books.
[2.25] i'm just running on my insatiable curiosity at this point. while it proved my theory that the goblin is the best montague sibling, everything else fell short aside from the depiction of mental health, in particular Adrian's anxiety.
i know the story's meant to center around the sibling relationship, but the other two siblings, who i assume are in their 40s now, have barely grown up, and since i never got along with Monty, my reaction is to be expected. but more importantly, why so stingy with the Percy crumbs?? lost opportunities

This 3rd and final book in the Montague Siblings series just wasn't fun. It lacks the joy and carefree feeling of the previous two books. Character development feels forced, and the adventure makes little to no sense. I finished the book, but just barely.

Adrian. AAAAADRIAN. unfortunately fell into a slump with audiobooks but i came back around to finish this series. Quite possibly my favorite of the Montague siblings and their books. plotwise, I still wish felicity were a girl kisser (and i wish there was more percy) but the book held my attention once i got into the groove of it. and i made at least one franklin expedition joke to myself. a delight 🧭

I'm so glad I was finally able to get to the third and last book in the Montague sibling series. This was everything I wanted it to be and more. It's been a long time since I read the first two books but I remember loving them and it was so good to see some familiar faces again. Especially getting so much of Monty. This was equal parts hilarious and heartwarming and heart wrenching all at the same time.
Obviously everyone experiences anxiety and mental health in different ways but for me this was the most raw, and real anxiety representation I have ever read in a work of fiction. It hits even harder since this is a first person narrative. We get every thought Adrian has and sometimes it just hit me in the gut how much I related to it. I saw so many similarities to Adrian and me in 2019 when I was first getting diagnosed with GAD and the years before when there was something so clearly wrong but I had no idea the words to even describe it. I feel like it's so easy to push aside anxiety disorders and not realize just how debilitating they are unless you have one yourself and it was so refreshing to read a book where it was so clear on how and why an anxiety disorder is so debilitating.
I just absolutely loved the journey Adrian goes on both mentally and literally. The relationship he forms with his long lost siblings and just everything else. The audiobook was also very good for this! I most definitely want to pick up and read the the first two books again.

This book, like the other two (and a half) Montague sibling books was delightful. I listened to the first two a couple years ago, so it took a little bit to get back into the groove of this book, and a bit to get in to its mystery and adventure.
I just love all three of the siblings. Monty and Percy are hilarious and so sweet. Felicity is a bad ass. And Adrian is sweet and so relatable with his anxiety and mental health struggles.
I enjoyed the adventure and the mystery of this story.
