Didn’t like it quite as much as the others. I found myself getting bored at times. It was a nice way to tie up the series though.
i really loved this, like absolutely ADORED this novel. it may be my favorite of the series. it was a wonderful return to this universe and to these beloved characters, to continue their stories and give us a final goodbye. more than that, it was definitely Adrian’s story, a journey of grief and dealing with death and the struggle of self-acceptance.
there was so much in this book and it was wonderfully moving and at times, heartbreaking. so many times, i teared up, my heart feeling so full and heavy for these characters. it was such an experience.
the development of the bond between siblings was beautiful, in part because they remind of my own siblings who i love dearly. there’s just so much to unpack with them: adrians anxiety and the way it defines his life, monty’s struggles with his family and self-worth, felicity and her ambitiousness, her dealing with the challenges of being a woman in a male oriented society.
everything with the flying dutchman, was it real or was it just in adrian’s head? it could be either or why not both? the fact that we don’t know for certain, I love it ( reminds me of oscillate wildly)
THE WEDDING in the epilogue OH GOD ILL CRY I LOVED IT just hilarious and tender and absolutely lovely, honestly that’s how I feel abt this entire book
saad: i love how the characters are all complicated and saad is a prime example. you want to hate him so bad but he’s still just a child trying to prove himself who idolizes his father and looks up to his sister and has always been treating at second best. it’s refreshing and confusing all at once.
i must say i really love adrian. he’s an wonderful character to stick along with. my heart aches for him so much. especially when he first met monty and felt so inadequate and that his brother must hate him and be so disappointed in him while monty’s dealing with demons of his own.
anyways i loved this book a lot thats all i have to say

Wonderful depiction of anxiety, though I thought the last three chapters were completely superfluous.

as always, the montague siblings are seated in my heart so deeply and will never leave. i cannot wait to reread this series as a completed trilogy.
These books are always fun, but it was a little difficult spending so much time with our hero's mental health issues. I am sorry to see this series end.

I was skeptical of this book, but I thoroughly enjoyed it much more than I expected. Adrian is a delightful character, and rounds out the Montague siblings rather nicely. Readers, beware: don't come for the adventure. Come for all the Montague sibling drama you've always wanted and nostalgic callbacks to the previous books.
This was just...oh my god. I am speechless with awe. This probably has the best anxiety/mental health rep I've ever read. I don't suffer as severely as Adrian, but so much of this hit SO CLOSE TO HOME, I was literally in tears several times just from the feeling of being finally perceived.
I have a lot of feelings. Just, like. A lot.
The book itself is amazing too. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about a book that jumped almost 20 years into the future, but it was just fantastic. Adrian was such a great character in his own right, but it would have been worth it just for all the excellent Monty and Felicity content. The sibling bond that grows between all three of them just melted my heart.
I just love this a lot okay *SOBS LOUDLY*

I love the Montague siblings. This final book in the trilogy focuses on the youngest sibling- Adrian- and his struggles with anxiety and mental health all while trying to solve the mysteries behind his mother’s death, meeting two siblings he never knew existed and traversing from Africa to Iceland trying to set things to right. There’s also lots of Percy/Monty sprinkled throughout and appearances made by many of our favorite pirates met in books past. Overall, a very satisfying conclusion to a series that I highly recommend.
It took me three months to finish this book. I kept having to take breaks because living in Adrian's head was uncomfortably like living in my own.
I still loved it and I think it was a great final entry into what has become one of my favorite books series.
