I’ve put a spoiler warning but there’s nothing explicitly spoiler-y, I don’t think. But better safe than sorry!
I read the first two books in this series years ago and finally picked up this third and final instalment this month. I have always got something from these books but this third one spoke to me the most. The main character suffers horribly with anxiety, as do I. In fact, Adrian (said MC) suffers with it worse than I do which made me feel strangely better about myself

The last book in the Montague siblings series started slowly for me. And honestly it was a bit difficult to read - Adrian's anxiety was nearly debilitating and MCs with an anxiety disorder tend to make me anxious as well. But the pacing finally sped up and Adrian's anxiety was only front and center a few times (the leeches!), and I began to enjoy it more. Can an adventure be fun and dark at the same time? Because this was.

Not as amazing as the first two (nothing can beat the second) but just being back in their universe is worth 5 stars… that and the wedding scene
I'm writing this as I finish off the epilogue, and I'm quietly crying. What a lovely way to say goodbye to these characters.
This is my favourite book of the series. I adored Adrian, and found him the most relatable of the Montague siblings, since I too am an anxious mess. He has a softness to him that neither of the other two narrators in the series had.
My inner Pirates of the Caribbean nerd really loved these books. Historical adventures with a dash of piracy and myth and legend? Yes please!
