Sooooo corny. Cute at times but I had to look away so many times because the dialogue was corny as shit. I almost quit reading entirely because of that. Also, at like 40-50% of the book all conflict was solved. Any other conflict that could happen wouldn’t matter at that point. Honestly not a great intro to hockey in a book but I think I’ll try again.

I fell in love with Braxton and Maddox. I can’t wait to read more of this series and others to see how everyone is intertwined within the other series.

when i opened goodreads to write my review it said “time to find a new favorite book” and its like they knew?? this book weasled its way into my top reads of 2023 and its safe to say im obsessed. i devoured this book so fast. maddox and braxton have my whole heart. this was such a beautiful story of forgiveness and selflessness and love. i could only
hope to be loved as fiercely as these toe love each other.

these two were childhood best friends, who both were very clearly in love with each other, but when it comes to it time to be deciding their future, Braxton makes a choice that rips them apart for eight years, and when they come back together in a fake dating scenario to help maddox, all those emotions come back and all that love, that was never really lost, comes back and it’s absolutely magical

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This sports, best friends to lovers, fake dating, second chance, romance is book one in the Greatest Love series, and it was really good. But if I may make one little complaint: there were entire chapters (that were presenting what happened in the past) that were entirely in italics. Which I hate. It's hard to read and I literally skipped them and didn't feel like I missed anything (there weren't many of them). Also, a curvy FMC who is insecure? What else is new? Please show me a badass who owns her curves. The reunion was a bit too speedy IMO. Loved Hades with my whole heart.

Okay so, I think this was a good story and sweet, but the nature of it being a second chance and their *total and complete connection* just kinda took away the tension of the story. I think a lot of parts of this were sweet, but ultimately a lot of the events just felt forced and lacked the necessary tension to make me care.

Friends to lovers trope? Check. Hockey romance? Check. Obsessed, golden retriever mmc? Check. Strong, plus sized fmc? check! I wasn’t expecting to love this book as much as I did! Maddox was precious and Braxton was sassy and easily lovable. And the proposal? 10/10. Overall this book felt like a warm cup of coffee, comforting and made me smile.
