- I didn't like it but I also didn't hate it. it was a pure "meh" for me, but I knew there were mixed reviews about this so I didn't really expect anything too high
- the chapters are really really short so that kept me going, it's incredibly fast paced, and the writing is SUPER easy to understand
- on the plus side, it has major outer banks vibes so that's interesting
- everything felt like a blur because of how fast it is and because each chapter didn't really have anything important in them
- I loved the story idea and the plottwist was GOOD, made my jaw drop, but the whole story as a whole wasn't anything THAT special
- I do love how we're in cadence's pov so it feels like we're slowly figuring out what happened along together
- the "once upon a time..." chapters were quite interesting, I liked the concept of it, especially the last one
- it didn't make me cry, I saw people crying bc of this book. personally for me, the plottwist was a bit sad and definitely unexpected, but not to the point where I cried for it
- none of the characters really stick out to me? they were a little flat imo
- I do love the little romance between cady and gat, it was cute
- mf finished it in 1.81 hours šŸ˜ŽšŸ˜Ž
- favorite characters (gat & mirren)
- favorite chapters (chapter 80, the truth chapter)

QUOTES :
"We are Sinclairs. No one is needy. No one is wrong. We live, at least in the summertime, on a private island off the coast of Massachusetts. Perhaps this is all you need to know."
- "The universe is seeming really huge right now, I need something to hold on to." "I'm here."
- "Life feels beautiful that day. The four of us Liars, we have always been. We always will be."
- "We set a fire. We didn't sob and bleed; we did something instead. Made a change." "Are you kidding? We burned the fucking palace to the ground."
- "I wanted so much for us; a life free of constriction and prejudice. A life free to love and be loved. And here, I have killed them. My Liars, my darlings. Killed them. My Mirren, my Johnny, my Gat."
- "My full name is Cadence Sinclair Eastman. I suffer migraines. I do not suffer fools. I like a twist of meaning. I endure."

It was confusing and mysterious but in a very good way. I was blown away by what happened, and I was shocked by all the action and events that happened in this book.

Things I enjoyed
-I can't tell you anything about it, but the plot was very interesting in this book. All I can say is that it was very well done.
-[b:We Were Liars|16143347|We Were Liars|E. Lockhart|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1402749479s/16143347.jpg|21975829] was super quick. I was surprised by how quickly I finished it. The speed was a good thing, it made the story seem better in a way.
-The characters in this book were very good. I enjoyed how we didn't find out very much about them until the very end. It kept me guessing.
-I really enjoyed the writing style. A lot of people are annoyed by it, but I thought it was perfect for this story. There were points when it got slightly dry but not very many.
-The mystery was a big aspect of [b:We Were Liars|16143347|We Were Liars|E. Lockhart|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1402749479s/16143347.jpg|21975829]. I enjoyed this even though I'm not much of a mystery person. The mystery added depth to the book.

Things I didn't enjoy
-The beginning of this book was kind of slow at first, and it took a while for it to pick up speed. It should have escalated quicker.
-There are other things I didn't like about [b:We Were Liars|16143347|We Were Liars|E. Lockhart|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1402749479s/16143347.jpg|21975829], but I don't want to spoil the book for anyone.

Overall:

It kept me occupied and curious the whole way through. I would definitely recommend giving it a try, even if it sounds weird. This is a very interesting book.

Review:
I was completely hooked from the start, the story flows so well together and there are so many questions. I kept guessing what was going to happen and I was surprised every time my predictions were not correct. I loved that because its not often that you find a book where you are left guessing and boy was I shocked. The characters were really well developed and I really felt a personal connection with Cadence the main character. The writing was fabulous, I could really picture everything in my mind, it was so vivid. I feel as though this books is one that I will remember for a long time because it really made me think about things.

Overall:
This book will have you guessing till the end. I will not tell you the outcome, you will just have to read it for your self and trust that when I tell you this is something that you need to read, you should go ahead and pick it up, you don't need to know what it is about really just be ready for a compelling ride.

I went into this story knowing nothing. That's how you should read this book, I heard from so many people. And they were right. It's better knowing absolutely nothing about this book and going blindly in.

This was such a hyped book and I wanted to see what was so great about it. As I started reading it, it didn't really pull me in. But as I got more into the story, I wanted to know what was going on.

That twist, guys. THAT TWIST! I definitely didn't see it coming and I think I'll have to process this for a while.

The writing was simple and it was contrasting the story and complementing it. This was really great and I just liked reading this novel.

But I also did have a few problems with the characters and this novel just didn't blew my mind, like I did expect with this hype going round.

It definitely is different from E. Lockhart's Ruby Oliver-series, darker and more aimed at somewhat older YA fans.

All in all, I liked the concept of this story and the twist was very well done, but as I said it unfortunately wasn't as good for me as it was made out.
